Hello guys how are you doing?
I'd like your insight about a feather problem please.
I have a Indian Ringneck (Lúcio) he is 4 months old and I'm noticing that his feathers are looking poor. I read a lot online about it, molting, adult feathers comming, but i see pictures of other ringnecks like him about his age and they look way better so this gets me concerned.
He has a pallets diet with fruits in the morning (i give him mostly mandarins and apples)
I started training him to come to me when i call his name and raise my hand so he can fly and land on it. For that i give him sunflower seeds. But not a lot, just as a reward.
He has showers 2 times a week.
Lúcio has a big cage but he doesn't live inside of it. Instead i have a maids room empty, so the cage is inside the room and he is always free there.
He:green2: spends most of his time on the perch in the living room and at night i put him in the maids room to sleep where he has his toys and another perch on top of his cage.
He flies a lot inside the house as well, what makes me think he is healthy, but im not sure, cause he has this bad feather looks.
I attached some pics of him.
Can you share some of your experience about birds please?
