Can he sleep outside the cage?

Hi there,

I just got my baby buddy half a week ago and was quite wild.
He's grown a lot already and is eating treats from my hand, I'm still very careful, he tends to attack the treat the first time to make sure I don't hurt him or something, then he's all good.

So I let him out of his cage for the first time today and my god he loooves it. He is about 4 months old and an incredible flyer, most of the time.

He's found a spot on top of the blinds where he gets a slight breeze from our ventilation system, now it's 11:30 at night and this bad boy does nOt want to come down at all.

I tried treats, tried stepping up to a perch, which is did once because he almost fell, and flew back up..

I've never had this problem with my previous birds so what shall I do?
I could leave him up there over night, but the living room is really hot and I can't open a window.

I refuse to chase him with a towel, I don't want to hurt our relationship.

Can I leave him there or will he hurt himself in the dark?
